Mastering YouTube Ads with Video Power

Do A.I. videos get real results?

AI video ads are everywhere right now.

But the questions is:

Do they actually work?

So I decided to run an experiment

Two video ads for the same company selling the same service.

The only difference was the creative.

One ad used an AI-generated voiceover of an-AI generated script. We just put B-roll and graphics on top of it.

The other used real testimonials from current members.

Let's dive in.

The Early Results Looked… Uncomfortable

The A.I. Ad

The Results

AI Video Ad Metrics

  • Total spend: $1,058.66

  • Conversions: 14

  • Cost per conversion: $75.62

The Real Ad

The Results

Real Video Ad Metrics

  • Total spend: $3,132.19

  • Conversions (Leads): 47

  • Cost per conversion: $66.64

Early Verdict

At first glance, the AI ad looked like it might hold its own with a very similar cost per conversion as the real ad.

But we don’t stop at surface metrics like cost per conversion.

We focus on the metrics that actually grow businesses.

Like revenue.

Revenue Results

And this is where everything changed.

The AI voiceover ad generated:

$0 in revenue

The real testimonial ad generated:

$20,000 in revenue

Two clients each paying $10,000

The AI ad passed the surface-level engagement test.

But it failed at the one thing that actually matters.

Trust.
